Kick Ass with Mel Robbins by Mel Robbins

    24th August 2018

    • My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

In this audiobook, we hear the life stories of eight incredible individuals.

First, I was surprised how good each and every one of them were at talking. The live sessions of them with Mel were really enjoyable and we, as listeners, really feel the emotions in their room through their voices, pauses, and word choices.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo

    17th August 2018
Cover of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up (Marie Kondo)

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing (Magic Cleaning #1) by Marie Kondo, translated by Cathy Hirano

    • Publisher: Ten Speed Press, 2014
    • Genre: Self-Help Book
    • Format: Ebook
    • Page Count: 224 pages
    • My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)

If you need affirmation for getting rid of stuff without feeling too much guilt, then Marie Kondo’s book is probably pretty helpful. I think I understand how her ‘talking to inanimate things’ seemed crazy to a lot of people, but as a fellow Asian, it is actually quite understandable, though of course, it is still a little bit weird.

    • Genre: Art
    • Format: Hardcover
    • Page Count: 240 pages
    • My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)

My collections have always been autobiographical, […].

This book is incredibly stunning. Amazed by how intuitively precise McQueen was with his work, I find the stills in this book even more breath-taking. It was a similar awing experience to glimpse one of his designs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fifth Avenue, several days ago.
