    Happy New Year everyone! It’s been a while since I posted anything that isn’t a book review (I also just found some drafts of monthly wrap-ups that I never finished), but here we are in 2022 and I think it is a wonderful time to start talking about 2021 like it is ancient history.

    Life Update

    So what happened in my life 2021?

    For those of you who are new here, hi, I’m a full-time PhD student studying space physics (part-time researcher), part-time teaching assistant, and I am trying to run both this blog and a bookstagram account. The past year had mostly been me preparing for one of the biggest exams of my PhD career—the qualifying exam. Basically, you present your research for half an hour, and then a panel of committee members would quiz you on your research and background knowledge for an hour. I took mine in November and got my results in December: I passed! Now, I’m officially allowed to continue with my studies and call myself a PhD candidate.

    Another exciting thing is that I have a short story to be released in SJ Whitby’s Cute Mutants anthology AWAKENINGS!

    Hi, friends! Is this really a February wrap-up and not a March one? Yes, because time is unreal.

    Again, I am very behind on everything, but I think, at this point, we are all very burned out and it is enough that I am trying. I do blog hop from time to time, and since WordPress Reader doesn’t work amazingly for me (because my blog is self-hosted), I catch up with one blog at a time instead of one week at a time. Say hi to me in the comments and I will attempt to read everything you’ve written in March and/or since whenever I last read your posts.

    January 2021 Wrap-Up

    Hey friends! I hope you all had a relatively good first month of 2021! Lately, I find myself unable to even format my book reviews and post them here on the blog, so I’ve been a bit scarce in the blogging world over the past two months or so. I genuinely want to put together a 2020 wrap-up, especially since I read a ton of amazing books I’d like to share with you, but thinking about writing a post sometimes freezes me up and I haven’t been able to completely get past that yet. I have a lot of fun stuff planned for this year that I hope I would able to bring myself to write about, too. Please stay tuned as I slowly find my way back to blogging again.     Happy New Year, folx! Where did December go? I don’t know, but I sure am glad 2020 is gone. Last month was a blur for me; I finished my first ever semester as a PhD student and took a lot of time off for some much needed sleep—I am sure I was sleep-deprived during the semester. So here we are at 2021 and I’m doing a November wrap-up. Expect a December one in a few days and I am also drafting a 2020 wrap-up, which is probably going to be huge.
