    WLW Wednesday — 19 Aug 2020

WLW Wednesday is a weekly blog series originated by Sasha and Amber @ Sasha and Amber Read. Every week or two, they share about their recent wlw reads. This is their second week and my first, so I will start with what I have read since August 5th, 2020. Also check out Arin @ Tomes of Our Lives for her post! Thanks to Arin, I now know that Sasha and Amber are welcoming other bloggers to join WLW Wednesday, too! Is this sapphic solidarity?

I will be posting either weekly or biweekly, depending on how many wlw books I have read during that time. Note that this is not a weekly wrap-up as I do read books that are not sapphic. Those will show up in my monthly wrap-ups but not here.

    Let’s see how this goes.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books that Should be Adapted into Netflix Shows/Movies

Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) is currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, and each Tuesday, we get a prompt to talk about 10 books.

This week’s topic: books that should be adapted into Netflix shows/movies (submitted by Nushu @ Not A Prima Donna Girl).

Over the past seven months, I have been escaping into sapphic books. I have only discovered this wonderful world of sapphic fiction (aka wlw fiction, or more traditionally known as lesfic*) in February this year. Before that, I seldom read romance. Since I now love them, I am excited to maybe try reading some more m/f romance as well.

    #5OnMyTBR — 2020 Release

Hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Nook#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme where we talk about 5 books on our TBR on Mondays. You can learn more about it in E.’s original announcement or #5OnMyTBR page.

    This week’s prompt: 2020 Release.

I started reviewing ARCs on NetGalley and directly from publishers and authors in March this year. Since then, most of the books I have read are 2020 releases.

But I don’t want to talk about ARCs today. I am going to list 5 books released in 2020 that I purchased instead. All are #ownvoices books.

    July 2020 Wrap-Up

It’s mid-August, and I am writing my July wrap-up post. I guess it’s never too late to do wrap-ups. Since my recent venture into actually doing blogging instead of merely posting reviews, I want to catch up on all my monthly wrap-ups starting March. So far, I still need to do May and June.

The global situation has definitely led me to read way more books than I used to, but then again, it has been a personally stressful semester for me. A lot of important things are happening in my life right now, including my recent graduation with a master’s and starting my PhD studies. With everything going on, nothing is certain and it makes me really restless all the time.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Loved but Never Reviewed

Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) is currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, and each Tuesday, we get a prompt to talk about 10 books.

This week’s topic: books I loved but never reviewed.

I wrote my first review for personal reference in 2014 and started to post more on Goodreads in 2017. Sometimes, I put off reviewing and before I know it, the memory of the book has faded and I cannot review it any more.

Since I have been keeping track of every single book I have read since 2007, I thought it would be fun to pick out one book I have read and really enjoyed each year since 2011. Maybe I will review them after rereading someday.
