It was 1:30 pm when I finally left my room and ubered to Krog Street Market. Sharing the ride with a girl going to State Farm Arena, it took me about 30 minutes to get to the market.
Day 16. Washington DC – Atlanta: Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA). Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Georgia Institute of Technology. Mary Mac’s Tea Room. [Airbnb: Kahmiah’s Place]
Waking up at 7 am was a pain, so I didn’t actually get out of bed after 7:30 am. There were still some stuff lying around unpack that would never fit into my bag. I would deal with them later.
Day 15. Washington DC: Quick Way Hibachi. Library of Congress. Folger Shakespeare Library. [HI Washington DC]
Despite waking up at 9 am to my alarm, I felt very tired and spontaneously decided to sleep in. Forget breakfast, my body needed rest. So I finally got up at 11 am and biked in the city.
Day 14. Washington DC: Arlington National Cemetery. Union Market. [HI Washington DC]
Catching breakfast at the last minute, I snatched some cereal at 10 am as I got up at 9:30 am, slightly later than planned. A little after 11:30 am, I left the hostel for a subway ride to Arlington National Cemetery ($2.00), which is in Virginia.
Day 13. Washington DC: National Gallery of Arts. SEI. [HI Washington DC]
It wasn’t surprising that I missed breakfast again. I got up around 11 am and grabbed another latte at Starbucks. Since all Smithsonian museums were closed, I went to National Gallery of Arts. Even they would be closed starting January 3rd. I guess today was a made-up day for the public since they didn’t open on New Year’s Day.
