To escape the restraints of her southern upbringing, Sky flees to Rhode Island to attend college. While attending Roger Williams University, she works not only on her degree, but she also works on shedding many of the things that peg her as a southerner.

At university, Sky rooms with sexy, vibrant Zenobia whom she ultimately falls head over heels in love with solidifying what she had felt in her heart all along—she loved women. But their affair is brief and interrupted by Zenobia’s sudden departure from Roger Williams.

When college is completed, Sky returns home to her domineering mother—who has promised her hand in marriage to a rich and arrogant man—her loving but docile father, and to her big brother who is satisfied with keeping the status quo. But it is 1986, and Sky is determined to live her own life, so she gathers her courage, leaves the groom at the altar, and moves to New York City, the Bronx, where she has acquired a teaching job and an apartment.

In the Bronx, Sky runs into a childhood friend, Ola, who had moved to the area after leaving elementary school in Durham. An invite to Ola’s party puts Sky in contact with Grace Webster and it is love at first sight. But there is turmoil between the two which is exacerbated by Sky’s “would be” husband’s stalking and continued obsession with her. This is amplified by the pressure Sky feels to come out to her family and friends back in Durham.

During these turbulent times, Zenobia comes back into Sky’s life. Sky is then faced with the choice of finishing what she started with Zenobia years ago, or choosing to fight for the relationship she is building with her new love, Grace.

After her latest heartbreak, Kate looks for a way to escape the confines of her sedate, comfortable life and jumps at a chance to work in the field.

Kate goes undercover as Kate Sooner in Lawless, a remote mountain town in northern California. In a run-down trailer park on the outskirts of town, Kate works to infiltrate a small-time drug ring purportedly run by her new neighbor, Stoney Randall. Though she doubts the value of pursuing such a minor criminal, Kate befriends Stoney’s girlfriend, Sierra Finn, and her best friend, Maggie Herndon.

Kate soon finds that Lawless more than lives up to its name. Everywhere she turns, she finds drugs, stolen goods, creepy criminals, mysterious animal disappearances, and the overwhelming odor of marijuana. The crime behind the data she manipulated so easily in the office turns out to be a lot more complicated now that she’s in the middle of it.

What happens next isn’t what either expected, and although passions flare, Whitney is furious when she learns she’s slept with the enemy. Their already rocky road to friendship —or something more—is complicated by a pair of Hollywood handlers who don’t particularly care what’s best for either of them. The only commitment Mara Antonini ever made was to her career on the Vegas stand-up scene. Putting romance on the back burner, she existed solely on booty calls and meaningless hook-ups, accepting the role as “the player” in her friend circle. Landing a gig as the emcee of a fundraiser for the local animal shelter seemed like the perfect way to get some positive career exposure. If she happened to make a new friend with benefits along the way, so be it. She didn’t count on the gorgeous redhead representing a rival casino throwing her off her game.

All Victoria McHenry needed was a date to her grandmother’s birthday gala to keep her judgmental, high-roller society mother off her back. But she wasn’t exactly ready to dip back into the dating pool after her last disaster of a relationship. So when she’s coerced into covering for her spoiled socialite sister representing their family’s casino at a local fundraiser, she takes it as an opportunity to find that date. Naturally she’s drawn to the sexy, charismatic comedian headlining the event, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to fall for her.

When the women are paired up on a planning committee for the event, Victoria proposes the Fake Date Deal: she gets her date for the soiree, and Mara gets the chance to finally shake her playgirl rap. It’s not long before hearts and emotions tangle, and the women wonder if the only people they are fooling are themselves. Mara and Victoria are on a hot streak of romance, but they will have to overcome friend interference, family freak-outs, and old habits that refuse to fold if they want to hit the happily ever after jackpot.

With the 2016 Rio Olympics just around the corner, nothing is going to derail her long-held dream of winning a medal or two in Olympic dressage. Not even the reappearance of a childhood so-not-a-friend throwing her perfectly balanced life into disarray.

Addison (Addie) Gardner’s career is at its peak, and accepting a last-minute fill-in position as the lead veterinarian for the US Olympic Dressage Team was a no-brainer. The fact her crush from Pony Club is on the team is just a bonus. Not a distraction at all. And it might just offer the chance to be friends with the girl who wouldn’t even give her the time of day twenty years ago.

But Caitlyn and Addie have very different memories of their time together at Pony Club and their first meeting as adults is less like a reconnection and more like a butting of heads. With the Olympics looming, they’ll need to set aside their history and learn to work together. And maybe Caitlyn and Addie will realize childhood memories aren’t always accurate and they have more in common than they would ever have thought. Maybe.

When a powerful storm ravages the community, the four women join forces to help the town rebuild. Despite this newfound energy and sense of belonging, Nora is soon compelled to return to her legal career in Boston. But it doesn’t take long for her to begin questioning the decision because she returns time and again to the lesson she learned from the bees, and she can’t seem to shake herself free from their passion for life and home.

Nora knows she needs to make some choices—about her career in Boston, about her feelings for Midge, Johanna, and Avril, and about her desire to care for the bees. Judith Braverman, a teenager living in an Orthodox Jewish community in the USF, is not only a talented artist accomplished in the ancient craft of paper cutting, she also has the gift of seeing into peoples’ souls (or neshama) and can tell instantly if someone is good or evil. Jeffrey Schwartz, who lives in that same community, has no love for religion or conformity and yearns to escape to the freedom of the USD. His cynical attitude and disinterest in girls makes him the object of derision and bullying. When he’s accepted into an experimental pen pal program and paired with Dani Fine, an openly queer girl in the USD, he hopes that he can finally find a way out.

After the woman known as “the President’s daughter,” who some regard as the protector of the Jews in the USF, is killed in a plane crash, incidents of anti-Semitic vandalism and violence sharply increase. Though most adults in the community don’t see any cause for alarm, Judith, Jeffrey and their friends recognize the peril that lies ahead.

In order to confront this escalating threat, Judith embeds a secret code in her papercuts so that she and Jeffrey can tell Dani about the growing danger to Jews in the USF without raising suspicions from the government. When the three arrange a quick, clandestine meeting, Jeffrey is finally faced with the choice to flee or to stay and resist. And Judith is reeling from a pull toward Dani that is unlike anything she has ever felt.

Synopsis
A secret consortium, a bent banker, and a desperate lawyer are all that stand between Elliott Snowmaker and the inheritance of her great-uncle’s failing aircraft restoration business. If her life weren’t already a complete mess, she probably would have stayed in Toronto and handled the estate over the phone. Out of a job and sleeping on her cousin’s couch, she doesn’t think twice about making the long trip to New Mexico and Illusion Lake. Now that she’s here, somebody wants her gone and fast. Staying is not the plan. She has a job lined up overseas, but when she sees what her great-uncle has left her, it’s easy to want to stay. There’s something about Illusion Lake. With the estate much different than described, this place deserves her consideration. Besides, her new lawyer is hot as hell and worth a second or third look too.

Kiva Park is here for the winter only. With a thriving criminal practice up north, handling the mundane chores of her dad’s general law office is a little on the dull side. Her plans for a quiet winter fly out the window when Elliott walks in the door. Her caginess sets off all sorts of bells, but most disturbing is the way Kiva wants to reach out and brush Elliott’s bangs from her captivating blue eyes. Kiva’s job is to manage Elliott’s inheritance, not investigate the strange demands of her father’s law partner, who keeps insisting Elliott sell her holdings and now. After inspecting Elliott’s new property with her, Kiva knows something much more sinister is behind the demand.

With the town power players and the lake on the table, she needs to figure out why Elliott’s property is key. And she better do it fast, before they destroy everything she loved about growing up on Illusion Lake. This might not be her home anymore but that doesn’t make her blind to what’s happening. With everyone gunning for her new client, she knows more than Elliott’s inheritance and her own heart are at risk.

Three years removed from a break-up that left her ex—and her life—behind in San Diego, she’s adjusted to the slow pace in Rockport, seeking out neither new friends nor lovers. Vandalism at the resort’s clubhouse—and a cryptic message written in blood—brings Detective Harley Shepherd, with her obnoxious Hawaiian shirts, into her life.

A tragedy sent Harley Shepherd running to the sleepy fishing village of Rockport, where violent crime is rare. So different from her life as a homicide detective in a large city, she embraced the quiet and easy-going attitude of the town, determined to put her past behind her.

Was it luck or fate that had her catch a case of simple vandalism? The lovely Lauren Voss made no attempt to hide her dislike of both her—she reminded Lauren of her ex—and her Hawaiian shirts.

Was the vandalism a prank, as Lauren suspects? When a body is found floating near the resort’s pier, Harley is convinced it’s related. As the formality and animosity between them changes and a friendship forms, the women find themselves growing closer as a killer terrorizes the peaceful town they both now call home.

After all, the small town of Fairbrooke, Wisconsin is about as far from her home city of Chicago as she can get. But it isn’t long before she learns that the small, sleepy town has more to it than meets the eye, and Lydia is quickly thrown into a world of magic and things Lydia thought only existed in fairy tales. At the center of it all is Eden, the blunt but fascinating girl searching for fae treasure in the forest on Lydia’s grandma’s property.

Suddenly, Lydia’s boring week in Fairbrooke has turned into an adventure, featuring mystery, excitement, and an unexpected friendship that threatens to blossom into something more. But not everything is as it seems, and as secrets threaten her newfound connection with Eden, Lydia must confront both her family’s dark past and her own sometimes-destructive impulses.

Synopsis
Blue McCarron has a Ph.D. in social psychology. She teaches and writes while living reclusively in an abandoned motel in the middle of the California desert with her Doberman, Bronte. A minister’s kid, she has an imprisoned felon for a twin and a broken heart from grieving over her lost lover, Misha. When a body is found trussed up in a public freezer and widow Muffin Crandall claims she killed an intruder in self-defense and then did some dumb things, including freezing the corpse for five years, Muffin’s brother Dan hires Blue to free his much older sister by analyzing her. It is apparent to Blue and forensic psychiatrist Rox that Muffin’s story is a hoax. But who is Muffin protecting? Who wants her dead? And, maybe more important, will Blue ever resolve her love for Misha and love again?

Complete with commentary by a Rastafarian Greek chorus in the form of ex-felon BB the Punk, the witty, suspenseful lesbian-detective thriller is hard to resist.

Synopsis
When two prominent female politicians die in San Diego of cerebral hemorrhages within days of each other, social psychologist Blue McCarron knows that their deaths are a statistical impossibility—they simply cannot be from natural causes. Within hours, a female evangelist almost dies, and threats from a religious fanatic, illustrated with blue willow plates, tie the three victims together. Blue and her lover, Roxanne, a criminal psychiatrist, are hired by the police as consultants and trace the three women to a posh plastic surgery clinic. As Blue and Rox investigate the clinic, the killer turns his attention on Blue, a strong, nontraditional woman who offends his ultraconservative religious beliefs. When Blue finds a blue willow plate on the doorstep of her isolated desert home, she knows the hunt has become a deadly game and that the unknown killer has every advantage.

Synopsis
Allie and Matt’s happy open relationship means they’re both free to pursue hookups. When Allie falls for a lie, however, she gets caught making out with someone’s boyfriend who doesn’t have permission to play. Ugh.

Yelling at Noelle’s now-ex and helping her move out isn’t the evening Allie planned, but after the women bond over much-needed drinks and a seriously dysfunctional tape gun, Allie’s not ready to say goodbye. It’s confusing; she doesn’t normally like-like people who aren’t Matt.

Matt has plans to privately explore his sexuality during his and Allie’s upcoming road trip to a music festival. Though at 30, shouldn’t he already know if he’s not entirely straight? But he’s cool with Allie inviting her new maybe-crush along on the trip, especially because he and Noelle seem to be clicking too.

Noelle lost her sixty-hour-a-week startup job right before her boyfriend cheated, and moving back home would make job searching easier. She misses having a life, though, and both Allie’s fumbling charm and Matt’s flirtatious humor make her want to say yes to lots of things.

Late-night talks on Texas highways, first kisses, and hotel room confessions might change a lot… especially if Allie and Matt can convince Noelle her next step doesn’t have to mean leaving.

Synopsis
Can Isabel return this year for a refund? Because it sucks. Her editing business would be paying her bills just fine… if her ex-boyfriend wasn’t blackmailing her. Of course, if her conservative family wouldn’t disown her for being bisexual, her ex couldn’t blackmail her in the first place. Sadly, she hasn’t invented time travel to un-make the mistake that created this mess.

Derek has a good life. Mostly. He’s an out bisexual man with a successful business and a loving queer found family. But he’s almost forty, living alone is getting stale, and yet dating seems pointless since nobody’s ever found him exciting enough to build a life with. Given he’s now doing zero-creativity craft kits to pass the time, he suspects they’re right. Maybe he should get a dog.

Isabel isn’t holding auditions for a rescuer, and she wouldn’t have expected Derek, a gorgeous guy with his own history of family rejection, to fill the role. But Derek’s “boring” life is the calm harbor Isabel needs, and her affection helps Derek see himself in a new light. Their tentative connection might become the happily ever after they both deserve—if they can hold onto it through the fallout from Isabel’s recent romantic disaster.
