Planning for Twelve Days of Queermas 2020

    12th December 2020

It’s December! I know I’ve been slacking in blogging recently as the semester is closing and everything is super hectic. Once I finish my final exam and turn in my final portfolio for class next week, I promise I’ll be blog hopping again and replying to comments, doing tags, etc. Oh, and I still haven’t posted a November wrap-up yet! Sneak peak: I’ve read 13 books in November and found my favorite book ever in Cantoras (my review here)!

This month, Sapphic Saturday (Arin and Brittany) is hosting Twelve Days of Queermas from the 13th to the 24th in addition to the monthly/bi-monthly 24-hour readathon on December 19th!

Ta-ke hó*! I am Hsinju (she/they/他), a born-and-raised Taiwanese currently residing in Illinois. Today (November 13th, 2020) is my Hear Our Voices Book Tours blog stop for the adorable Taiwanese American, fake-dating YA romance Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao! Mostly set in Palo Alto with a few chapters in Chicago (yay, Illinois), the story opens with Chloe Wang and her family meeting her boyfriend—ahem—hired boyfriend, whose real name is Drew Chan, for the first time on Thanksgiving.

    * “Ta-ke hó” is “hi, everyone” in Taiwanese.

Planning for November’s Sapphic Saturday 2020

    11th November 2020

Last month was my first time participating in Sapphic Saturday readathon, and I had so much fun! I also planned beforehand, aiming for a blackout bingo card and succeeded. Yay! This month, I’m going to relax a bit and pick up books that are already on my recent TBR.

Sapphic Saturday is coming up on November 14th. This monthly/bi-monthly event is a 24-hour sapphic book readathon hosted by Arin and Brittany. I’m also super excited about the one they’re hosting for December! Twelve Days of Queermas! I’ll be planning my TBR for that very soon, too!

    WLW Wednesday — 4 Nov 2020

    4th November 2020

WLW Wednesday is a bookish meme among bloggers who read sapphic books. Hosted by Sasha and Amber @ Sasha and Amber Read, we are encouraged share our recent wlw/sapphic reads every week or two.

How I had read so many books for my last WLW Wednesday post I do not know. These past two weeks, I’ve read four sapphic books (three adult romance and one adult sci-fi/fantasy).

About Me

Lí-hó!! I am Hsinju (they/she), a Taiwanese book blogger, writer, and full-time grad student in engineering. Here, I mainly review books featuring authentically represented LGBTQ+ characters and/or written by LGBTQ+ authors. You’d usually find me going about life with my heart stuck in the last book I finished.
