Planning for November’s Sapphic Saturday 2020

Last month was my first time participating in Sapphic Saturday readathon, and I had so much fun! I also planned beforehand, aiming for a blackout bingo card and succeeded. Yay! This month, I’m going to relax a bit and pick up books that are already on my recent TBR.

Sapphic Saturday is coming up on November 14th. This monthly/bi-monthly event is a 24-hour sapphic book readathon hosted by Arin and Brittany. I’m also super excited about the one they’re hosting for December! Twelve Days of Queermas! I’ll be planning my TBR for that very soon, too!

Apart from these four prompts in November—historical fiction, middle grade novel, recommended by a friend, friends-to-lovers, all others are met with the three books I already plan on reading this month:

  • The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo
    • by a WOC author
    • by an author you’ve never read before
    • with an illustrated cover
    • on TBR for a while: is 7 months long enough?
    • Own Voices: queer & Asian
  • Cute Mutants Vol 2: Young, Gifted & Queer by SJ Whitby
    • with an illustrated cover
    • YA
    • with found family
  • All the Love Songs by Nicole Pyland
    • with mental health rep: autism
    • Own Voices: sapphic & autistic

Are you participating in this month’s Sapphic Saturday? If so, what are your plans?
